Where could I find more info on Cushing's and its symptoms? Anyone know if this disease is hereditary? |

First for the lay perosn here is tehe link to wiki for an explanation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cushing's_syndrome. IN some cases it is inherited. IN a amajority you are born with teh disorder or its caused by any number of influences. Some PCOS pateinst ahve been misdiagnosed with Cushings. Since most medications are available to drop teh cortisol levels and treat other aspects of it, teh hardest part is the weight gain! I always use Google when I do a search on any diseases. Try and find a good medical site and most will give you the information you need along with symptoms, things you should do and places you can contact for help. I found this online: http://endocrine.niddk.nih.gov/pubs/cushings/cushings.htm It's a government health site and is a good starting point for research into this syndrome. |
