Subject: | Chest Pains Due To Stress | |
Last spring I paid a visit to the doctor with chest pains due to job related stress. At my age even though I am in good health this is not something that should be ignored. They checked my heart rather thoroughly and except for the fact that from endurance sports in my younger years my heart is somewhat enlarged there are no problems there. I do have minor asthma and always thought these pains come from that. I have had them periodically all my life especially when the stress levels get ratcheted up. Any thoughts anyone. |

I am 30 and have been getting stress related chest pains since I was 25. I have not as yet been able to find out much about this condition other than it is stress related and continuous suggestions to find ways to reduce my stress levels. |

my husband is 34 and has a stress attack about six weeks ago now. We thought he was having a heart attack as the symptoms were just the same. The hospital pumped him full of all sorts of relaxants. Further tests have show that he has no heart problems at all. He now take a herbal relaxant that helps him get a better and deeper nights sleep, which were recommended to us by our doctor. |

Chest pains is nothing that you should take lightly. People seem to be having them more often these days. |

I agree with the above poster. Do not take this situation lightly. Sure, it may be stress related, but I would ask for every test to be done to rule anything and everything else out first. Don't let your doctor tell you it's not serious if you think it is. You know your body better than anyone! |

Any chest pains should be taken seriously and you should seek medical help if you are worried. |
