Subject: | Binocular Instability | |
After a lifetime of problems I have finally been told that I have binocular instability. Its apparently common but opticians are not trained to pick it up. I cried when I was told, because it means I'm not nuts!! So next comes discussion of treatment, but I'm not sure what that means. Any ideas how they treat this? |

There are also some special exercises that are used to train the brain to see the two images as one again, but I don't know how they are performed. Coloured overlays can help with the blurring of writing, lowering contrast on PCs and using lower wattage light bulbs in the house. |

I don't even know what binocular instability is, I had to look it up. I am near sighted right now and I am not sure how long it will last or if it goes any worse with age but binocular instability sounds very harsh. |
