Is anyone aware if astigmatisms are able to be corrected from the laser surgery or is it only for certain types of eye issues? I have one and been looking around for an alternative. I hate my glasses and my eyes don't like the idea of contacts. :) |

Websites for Lasik surgery say that Lasik can also correct astigmatism by smoothing an irregular cornea into a more normal shape. I've worn eyeglasses since before I was a teen. I couldn't even dream of not wearing them. I'm so used to them, and I like the look! |

What is astigmatism? I see a lot of commercials about it but I don't really know what it is. I'm sure laser surgery would be able to help it. The things they can do today is crazy. |

It is a condition where the eye is misshapen, so that you can't quite focus right. I have it, and wear glasses. It's not something I would consider correcting permanently. |

I have been wanting to go to the laser clinic here for a free consult.I never make the time though lol. I would love to have my astigmatism fixed. I hate wearing glasses. I wanted to get contacts but I don`t have the money its gonna cost for the tests i need to see if I can wear them. The laser clinic takes payments. |
