Subject: | Vinegar As Cleaner | |
I just read an article saying that white distilled vinegar is just about the perfect cleaner for the house! I know that my Mom used to use vinegar to wash the windows before we bought a spray to do it, years ago, but I never knew that plain vinegar is such a great cleaner for the house. It is safer to use, is cheaper and is best for your and your house's health too. I checked around and it really does cost a lot less than the cleaners I usually buy. Here's some examples of its usage: Mix vinegar and water 1:1 in a spray bottle for an all-purpose countertop and mildew cleaner. Add 1/2 cup to the rinse cycle as a fabric softener. You can even use it as a toilet bowl cleaner. Use it straight from the bottle to get rid of rings. My mom mixed vinegar and water 1:4 in a spray bottle for windows. It's supposed to be streak free cleaning too. The smell of vinegar disappears when it is dry, so there's no need to use those cleaners with scents added. I read that household cleaners are responsible for most of the calls to poison control hotlines because kids have been known to drink them, but vinegar is safe! And who can drink it anyway? Here's a website that tell all about vinegar as a cleaner. I am amazed that something so simple can be so good for the health of our homes. http://www.vinegartips.com/ |

I used to clean houses for a living and I met a lot of people that wanted me to use vinegar on the tile floors. It worked really good. I mixed it with water though. And the smell did go away. |

I use vinegar all the time for cleaning. its great for working around the taps, and descaling the kettle, even though boiling the stuff causes a nasty stink. |

I've been told the same thing and have yet to try it but it seems I just may have to. As the mother of 4 small children it sounds like it would be much safer and healthier. |

I made the switch to vinegar a few years ago, when my first born was a baby. It is a WONDERFUL cleaner, and very economical! It's even a great fabric softener for the laundry, I just add it to the fabric softener cup. |

Yes vinegar can be used to clean no-wax floors. I have used it before. I also use vinegar as a wallpaper remover. Hot water and vinegar loosens the paste and makes the wall paper come right off the walls. |

I use vinegar to clean the build-up in my shower head. I just put some in a bag and tie it onto the shower head overnight. The next morning all the build-up is completely gone. |

I've never been much into the using vinegar for cleaning everything. It makes things seem clean, but I've watched more than enough undercover operations that show the hidden germs t not trust how clean things seem. |

I didn't know that vinegar is such an excellent house cleaner. I think I will get myself a bottle of vinegar and stop buying those chemical cleaners to keep my house clean. |

POur down teh drain, you can heart iyt bubbel and break loose all that gunk. flush with hot tap water after the pipes have cooled. we do it once a month and it seems to work realy well. j |
