Subject: Milkshake that reduces appetite

This new product to be released by Unilever is said to make people feel full so they won't crave food. My concern is that it says that it traps the gas in the food, to make the consumer feel full. Where does that gas go eventually?

I'll give you two guesses but you will probably only need one.

Someone is going to go to the bank with this one. I wonder what the side effects are. It may make you feel full, but if it makes you gassy it might not ever catch on.

I am not so sure I would want to take this if it gives you gas. Sure I want to lose weight, but without embarrassment.

Probably gives you gas. There is probably a big downside to this though, there's something their not saying happens. Look on the warning label I'm sure I'll say what happens.

I never would want to take weight-loss pills because there is ALWAYS a downside to it, something that is not worth losing weight that way for.

You're better off just exercising off the weight, it's the healthiest way.

They say that it helps to take in liquids to give you a full feeling whenever you are on a diet. That's why soup is recommended to start a meal.

And that's why they tell you to drink water for at least 8 cups worth when dieting.

Why drink something that will make you uncomfortable with gas? Life is hard enough!

I dunno those chips with the weird oil in them gave people anal leakage and they flew off shelves for ages. There was a diet drug that caused gas and anal discharge and it flew out of doctor's offices as well. Some people will try anything to solve the fat issue.

There seems to always be a downside to almost anything now, why is this any different? And if the side deal is gas, and its controllable whats the issue?

i agree eat soup first. if you put anything in first it will take up room.

I am on slimfast high pro and it give me gas from hell. But with that I get a four piound weight loss weekly for teh first few weeks.

I usually have one with a meal so i feel fuller and if i cant swallow at least i get nutrition.

I am looking into this.......

So I went to unilever and pretty much its a high fiber that is added. the gas is captured> What they ahve yet to figure out is how to control the bloating?

By far its not perfected and the control study people complained of excessive painful flatulence afterwards...

I dunno if i want to go that route just yet.......
