Subject: | "Clinically Proven" | |
It is amazing that so many products will use this phrase. I have yet to find a situation where the phrase is clearly explained on the same page with the numbers associated with a companies findings. How does "clinically proven" as used by commercial entities, compare with the same phrase when used by the medical community? |

The fact of the matter is, you will almost never find something that is 100% proven when it comes to human beings. There are just so many mitigating factors and uncontrollable elements, no clinical trial can say without a doubt that something does or doesn't cause another thing. They can really only talk in degrees of correlation. So the term "clinically proven" is bunk. I may just mean that there was a trial that had at least some positive indication. |

Quote: Most often you will find that underneath, in small print, there is a statement that it hasn't been evaluated by the FDA. In other words its junk, and I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. No kidding. So many of these snake oil products are making their way on to the market and while most are harmless, some of them are quite toxic and have killed people. |

To me, it is just another sales gimmick. I pay no attention to it. I have grow immune to the term being used on all those medicines out there. |

Clinically proven is a term used when a 70-99 percent positive outcome is acheived through all clinical trial phases or a majority of indpenedent doctors joining in a clicnical study found an item favorable. Its really absed on FDA trials 1-4 in total outcomes before being passed. |
