Subject: | Clinical Studies..... | |
So many people are concerned about new medications and health products that is often almost impossible for truly effective drugs and procedures to make their way to market. Many people complain about the risks and, of course, feel rather helpless to change things, or at least see for themselves if a product or medication performs as promised or expected. With this in mind, would you participate in a clinical study of a drug or product before it is released for the general public to use? |

In all of the magazines out there for people with cancer that my sister gets, all of them talk about clinical studies that are going on. Many people do volunteer for the studies, but I don't know how many do before the usual chemo and radiation options are used up and nothing is working. I'd think it would be the same way for anyone with a disease, they might volunteer to be part of a study, but as long as the medications they take are are still working, I don't think that many would experiment with their health by taking other untried medications. |

It depends, if I am really sick and perhaps at the point of death I may be would, but I would not use my healthy body to try out for these new medicines. I even have a problem taking painkillers if the pain is bearable. |

Not personally but if the right amount of money was offered I can imagine there would be hundreds to thousands of eager willing participants. |
