Subject: | Butterfly bandages | |
Butterfly bandages or as some call them are something everyone should have in their first aid kit. We have used them on several occasions. They are used to hold the edges of cuts together much the same way stitches do. I'm not saying to not take serious cuts to the emergency room by the way but you would be surprised how effect these can be. My daughter dived head first off her bicycle once and got a cut that we used them on near her eye. We took her to the hospital emergency. While the doctor was examining her my wife asked if he thought she would need stitches. He said,"Oh no you did a really nice job I'm not going to mess with it." It did heal with almost no scar at all. |

I have always like butterfly bandages. I hate the thought of stitches. Just thinking of that needle they use to numb it scares me to death. I`m not afraid of needles , but I`m afraid of the pain. |

This is the first time I heard of butterfly bandages. I think I must get them for my kindergarten as many children there are very prone to get cuts every now and then. There are already a few accidents involving the children who have cuts and we have to rush them to the nearest clinic. |
