Subject: Apples

Does anyone still eat apples. I was telling my kids how good they are for them, but they would not listen.

Of course I do. But I do tend to make them into apple pie more than I eat them as they come!!!

I do. I really love fruit and try to eat as much as possible. Apples are a good choice for me any day. I hope they don't find any studies that ever suggest they are not good for me.

I think that apples are still one of the most popular fruits around.

I used to go apple picking and all those pounds of apples would get eaten or baked into a myriad of dishes right away. I still make apple tsimis, which is stewing apples and prunes along with plenty of dried fruits and cinnamon. I eat it cold and hot all year long.

Yes, plenty of people still eat apples and if your kids aren't aware of apples, well wait until they are in season again and buy them a whole bunch!

My kids absolutely love apples though I do not think they have figured out how to actually finish one.

My kids just love apples. I haven't bought any recently though because they have become terribly expensive here. I am anxious for a nearby apply orchard to be ready for picking because you can load up a grocery-size sack for $3! The bag usually breaks before it even gets full, so you have to bring a wagon or something to set it on.

Yes, people still eat apples. As a matter of fact, you can now get apples instead of fries in Happy Meals at McDonalds, and apples instead of chips at Subway in their kids meals.

Apples are delicious and very good for you too. Wiki reads that they may help reduce the risk of colon, prostate and lung cancer. They also have fiber in them, which is good for bowel movements. Everyone would benefit from eating apples.

Apples are no fun with teeth issues, for sure! If not just the fact that they are hard when you bite them, the skin gets stuck between your teeth-no fun!

i love apples. There are some cross bred varieties that are great tasting. we found one called rose red. it is pretty, crunchy and sweet. My daughter had as evere allergic reaction. It seems to getthis breed they ahd to cros with a rose bush!

so now we tend to keep with heirloom variaties.

Apples? What is that? I haven't touched them for ages. I am more into banana, water melon, honey dew and papaya.

What do you think?
