I started my son on solids at 15 weeks. He has a larnyx disorder so milk just comes right back up. The doctor said to suppliment with applesauce and light vegies. Everyone acts like I am a horrible mother. I'm just trying to do what is best.

My son was started on cereal at about 3 weeks because a bottle just wasn't filling him up. Have you tired soy formula? I've never heard of applesauce and veggies at that young of age but you could try rice cereal mixed in formula to see if that will work.
Forget what other people say. Your baby's health is all that matters.

Cereal mixed in with formula in a bottle is a choking hazard-it really could hurt your child and is no longer recommended. It is not good for health.
There are formulas specifically made for reflux babies that are thickened without the choking risk. If you want some help then try that rather than a dangerous DIY version.

If your child has a physical disorder you really need to see a specialist for that. If you doctor is telling you to feed a 15 week old applesauce and veggies, you need a new doctor. Even when my kids were babies, 20 years ago, they didn't suggest anything other than cereal until 4 months. And now they are finding that solid foods introduced before 6 months are correlated with diabetes and allergies, among other things.
If there is specialty formula, then you should try that. I always thought it was bull when people would say "oh my baby is just still hungry" and feed them and inferior solid food instead of more breastmilk or formula.

I have seen 2 specialists. He's had MRI's and has been intabated and so many other test have been done as well. And I'm pretty sure thickened milk with cereal is still okay. I have a dozen other friends that have had their pediatricians recomend the same thing. He takes pills 2xs a day too.
