Do your kids get enough sleep? Are you aware of behavioural changes that might occur when they are over tired-do they get cranky easy, and difficult to work with?
My daughter is so sensitive to lack of sleep that it makes life rather hard!

Sleep deprivation can cause a variety of behavioral problems that are not even apparent like crankiness and variable temperament. Did you know that lack of sleep can contribute to or even make diabetes worse?
I feel your pain with your daughter. I'm one of the unlucky ones that cannot reset my internal clock to feel awake during the day. I never ever wake up fully until the sun goes down. No matter what I do.

It's odd, my most easy going child is the one most effected by missing sleep or throwing off the sleep schedule, while my difficult three year old girl has always been able to miss naps and roll with it better than her brothers. Though now that I think of it, maybe that's why she's so difficult! LOL!

Of course kids act out or are grumpier when they are tired. I'm the same way. It's very important for kids to get enough sleep each night. Kids need a proper diet and adequate sleep to succeed.
My daughter is very cranky when she is tired and hasn't slept enough.

My kids get more than enough sleep that is for sure. If I would let them they would sleep all day long.

My daughter never seems to want to go to sleep, and she is especially worse if she is excited about something. She is very difficult to deal with when she is tired and developes quite a bad attitude. The worst thing is she will not admit that she is tired, so getting her to take a day time nap is impossible.

This is why sleep is ever so important and sometimes we tend to forget that. How can we expect to function normal when we are not giving ourselves enough time to rest and recharge.

Thanks God my daughter get enough sleep everyday. Actually those afternoon naps of her really help. If she miss one of them, she will throw tantrum and won't be able to do her homework smoothly.
