I have a friend whose has one child who is always ill. The poor kid has always had ear infections, colds and has always had something wrong with her.

Because I have known her since she was born I see that the kid isn't making up things. She was pulling at her ears and crying long before she could speak.

Her Mom has always done her best to take care of her and I see how hard my friend works to make sure the kid gets fresh, good foods and as much fresh air as possible. Her husband even bought a swing set and little slide so the little girl can have something to do outside.

I used to think that those little kids who were always sick had to do with bad parenting, but now I see that sometimes kids are just sickly.

My now 9 year old was sickly as an infant and preschooler. He has mild asthma which seemed to cause him to get pneumonia very easily when he was little. He was hospitalized 3 times as a young child for a week or more each. He has since grown out of the tendency, although he still has asthma. The doctor said it was mostly due to him not being old enough to physically cough it out, whereas now he is.

i was ill as kid, born with a staph infection and then injected with live penicillin( back in the 60s) and from there pretty much one thing after another. I think from that it help to cause more severe or earlier development of my diabetes than woudl ave been otherwise.
I didnt go overbaord with my daughter, she developed measles from teh vaccine, and a cough from the DPT, so her pediatrician woudlnt give her anymore.. another dose would ahve done more damage. so she has been healthy aside form afew ear aches , MONO and PLEVA as she ahs gotten older, it was better to let her own system kick in.
I also had a screening done on passd on immunozations.. they did ablood test to see what immunoizations I had that passed on to her. small pox was one of them!
It was a great test.

I have been very lucky as my kids have not been that sick. I know of many parents though that this has been a problem for. I know they are always keeping a close eye on them.

My daughter is pretty healthy. I think it is because we exercise and eat healthy well balanced diets.
She gets a cold from time to time - but not often.

All three of my kids are fairly healthy. We have everyone of us got seasonal allergies but that is all. My husband has asthma and thank goodness, none of our kids developed it.

I used to babysit a kid who was always sick. We used to affectionately call him the outbreak baby. You could almost feel yourself getting sick as he coughed on you or spit up on your shirt. He had many allergies and other issues and constant colds/flu/etc. The two older kids were healthy as horses, but he was always sick.

You must be joking if you eveer get a kid who never sick. Mine is pretty weak, as she get sick at least once a month. It seemed as though it is a routine event for her even if she is taking all the vitamins and minerals daily.

Thankfully my eldest is very healthy, and has not had a visit to the doctors in the last 4 years. Of course she gets a cold in the winter, but thats about it.

I do not have any children of my own. I am unable to have them.
But as for myself. I started having surgeries when I was just days old. I have had ALOT of major surgeries. I have been sickly all of my almost 32 years, but Thank God I have lived 31 years longer than the doctors believed I would. They told my parents I would NEVER make it til I was 6 months old, then 1 yr. old, then 2 yrs. old and etc etc. They have had to keep adding another year onto the year they said I wouldn't live past.
