Cancer and cell phone

I keep reading about cancer and cell phones- And parents should think twice about letting their children use cell phones.
Why would cell phones cause cancer ? And if in fact they do- then why do they sell them?

The news keeps talking about cell phones and cancer even though there is no evidence of cell phones causing cancer.

This last time it hit the news, they even started the news reports by saying that there is no evidence of cell phones causing cancer, but that one doctor made a public announcement that cell phones are dangerous and -- of course -- the media picked it up and filled the airways with it.

Until they get real answers, I will use my cell phone but I won't be connected to it for hours. Like anything else, there is some safety in moderate usage.

Even if there is a small possibilities that cell phones caused cancer, it won't get released to the press. You think all the big phone company will let that happen? No way! I think people will continue to use their cell phones as it seems that they can't do without one.

I think they are always warning us of dangers but surely it is more dangerous for your daughter to walk across the road isnt it?

Like any transmitter, cell phones do emit a certain amount of radiant energy when used. I would think that I child would be exposed to more just sitting in front of a television. This isn't something I'm too concerned with at this point in time. Unless someone has some solid proof I'm still using it.

I'm not concerned either- I just found it odd that they are coming out with all these reports saying that they could cause cancer.
My daughter has a cell phone as do I.
