Do you mean bottle feeding breast milk or formula vs breast milk. If it is the latter there is a big difference between formula and breast milk. I personally breast fed all 4 of my children for at least 6 months. I think even outside of the positive benefits of breast milk that breast feeding helps to build a very strong bond between Mother and child.

I agree with Simplyme. The benefits of breast feeding are extensive and pretty well documented. My wife also breast fed our 3 kids for quite a while.

I did breastfeed. Unfortunetly i dried up after 4 months. I have a friend who just had a baby I think she is selfish. She doesn't even want to try. She said it is grose. I don't get it.

I am a current breast feeder. My doctor doesn't really endorse the whole "breat feeding is bonding" idea. She says that it's important but it doesn't have as much of an affect as others would want you to believe.
But, she says it is a much healthier choice. So I decided to breast feed based on the fact that it was much better for my baby as far as health and strength. I also feel better about myself when i do it. So that's a great plus.

Breast feeding is a much healthier choice.

However my failure to be able to produce enough milk myself had meant that I have had to formula feed both of my girls, and both of them are turning out to be very healthy individuals.

Me too. Thanks for simpathizing with me. It's hard to except. But when you have no other choice you do what you have to.
