Subject: | Charitys | |
I have a friend who is working to help raise money for a friend of his who has Aids. It got me thinking why we are not having big pharm companies out there take a portion of the money they take from us to help take care of all these worthy charities. I would not mind paying high prices for an Rx if that extra money was going somewhere good rather than making someones wallet fatter. |

I agree with you whole heartedly. I know a lot of the costs we pay go back into research but way too much goes simply to increase someones wealth. That for me is ridiculous when so many are suffering, needlessly because they can not afford the cost of care these days. |

There are so many worthy causes but you can not just donate to all of them. I really wish people who wasted their money on crap would take that and even give just a buck to some good charity, even a little helps a long ways. |

I would rather help someone or a charity rather than making a bunch of money. I would never be happy if I knew that someone else needed something but I wouldn't help because I loved my money too much. Money won't keep you happy or from being lonely. |

I was listening to a news program where pharmaceutical companiew were being questioned about the amount of money they charge countries like Africa for Aids medications. At first it sounded like they were giving it away until you heard the doctors from Africa talk about the poverty in that country. The drug companies only defense was basically - What you want us to give it away. Yes, I do want them to give it away. They charge me more than enough for my prescriptions. They can afford it. |
