Subject: | Sinus headaches | |
I get sinus headaches for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Usually it`s when the pollen count is high or the seasons change. I am suffering from them now. I use the OTCs but they make me fall asleep. The next day its right back anyway. Any suggestions n another way to stop this? I hate it. |

I too suffer from sinus headaches. Maybe you should go to the doctor. You might have an infection and then otc medicines alone won't help. |

They eventually stop. But it really gets annoying waking up every day and I can feel the pressure building. My doc says its allergies. |

Since your problem gets so serious, you might need to go to an ear nose and throat man to help get your sinuses cleared and to keep them from getting so filled. I also have sinus problems and after suffering with a stuffed nose for a long time, I went to my doctor and he suggested an OTC anti allergy drug and it works pretty well. When things get really stuffed I also have a prescription for a spray that usually helps me. Try your doctor, he just might know something that can help. |

That must be awful for you. I think perhaps visiting your doctor may be a good idea. He/she may be able to write you a prescription for something that is non drowsy. |

I take the allergy OTCs. They work for a little while but put me to sleep. I also use a spray. I can`t afford the doctor right now. But I may just have to go anyway. I hate this. |

An infection is most times easy to notice rather than just sinuses acting up. If you have headaches for that long though I would say see a doctor too just to be on the safe side. |

I suffer from the same problems. Some times I find a nasal solution of salt water will help clear my sinus's and get rid of any lingering infection. Salt kills bacteria. |
