Subject: Raspberry tea to treat colds

It has been our family recipe - if you've got a cold or cough, raspberry tea is a good home remedy to try. The way it is made is very simple, you can use dried-up raspberries or raspberry preserves. Add hot water, stir, and drink. It will not instantly cure the problem, so you have to do this repeatedly to see results. I have tried it, and it worked for me.

How much time on average does it take off of your cold time? Any little bit of time helps but I am curious about your results.

That's interesting. The healing properties, from what I know of alternative medicine, are in the leaves, and it is for "female ailments".

This site lists it as good for dealing with the stress of cancer treatments which would be what makes the cold go away quicker. It also lists it as antiseptic and an expectorant which would help get rid of germs and congestion.

I've heard that all dark colored berries are very good for the health. I also know that hot teas are also good to wash away germs in the throat when you are fighting the cold or flu.

I think that your tea sounds very tasty and so that people will happily drink it down.

So all in all it sounds like a lovely way to fight a cold. Last but not least, it couldn't hurt!
