Subject: | Pulling muscles | |
I am laid up a little today with pulling somehow two muscles in my back, the right side about middle area in the past two days. No heavy lifting or funny twisting so I'm not sure how it happened. Right now I have a heating pad going but does anyone else know what could help? |

Since your pains aren't coming from any known source that you can remember, it is a good idea to try gentle heat to relieve it. Are you sure that you pulled a muscle? That also sounds like the kidney area and the pain that comes with any kidney troubles sometimes also feels like a pulled muscle. Why not try and increase your water intake today too? Get as much liquid in you to clean out the kidneys. That also might help the pain. I hope you are feeling better soon. |

I have been hitting the liquids pretty well lately and yes I mean water. :) It would really be bad timing if it was a kidney issue since I just managed getting over being sick. Thanks for the hopes, Im doing the same right now. |

Try going to a chropracter (sorry don't know how to spell that, but I'm sure you know what I'm mean!) You can find one everywhere. They usually put your muscles right back into place! |

A chiropractor may be able to offer some relief but a massage therapist may be a better solution. I went to one after being rear-ended in my car and it worked wonders for all of the soreness. All you have to do is tell them your back hurts and they'll do the rest. Good Luck, George |

You could also get a great book and just read, use this time as a time of spending sometime with yourself, dream, write down stuff you want to do when you are all better. Not the typical advice, but it will help. |

I know that some relax time would suit me good, but the problem is sitting or laying or reclined for long periods of time. I have also looked into a massage therapist but not too happy with their prices and going to visit one on Thursday a friend suggested. |
