My sister is suffering from a severe bladder infection. Her doctor has tried her on three different medications but so far she has had allergic reactions to all three. Does anyone out there no any natural remedies for bladder infections?

I have heard that cranberry juice is good for bladder infections. I know it will help but, depending on the severity of the infection, she may need something else. I also heard that oregano is a natural antibiotic but I don't know how you would determine dosage.

Cranberry juice can help to prevent bladder and urinary tract infections but it won't usually cure an existing infection. It works by making it tough for the bacteria to stick to the cells and get started. Especially with it being a severe infection, she most likely will have to keep trying antibiotics until one works for her.

In time the body is likely to get a grip and rid itself of the infection, if they don't find a suitable drug in the meantime. Whilst she is going through all this, start the cranberry juice, drinking heaps of it. Increase the water too so that the bladder is being frequently flushed out.

I would go with the cranberry juice as well, even as a started though most times this has helped to clear up any issues I have had or those close to me.
