Subject: | My favorite alternative medicine book | |
A book that has helped me to understand many health issues from an alternative medicine point of view is "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC, now in its 4th edition. In this book, you can find descriptions of various alternative medicines, herbs, vitamins, minerals, and what they are good for, along with guidelines for their use. There is also a section devoted to various conditions, and the kinds of things you might take to aid you. Of course, you want to check with your doctor, and keep him/her informed of what you're doing. There is a lot of good advice here, and explanations of things you might read about in a magazine or hear about on tv. |

I believe in the use of alternate medicine. Currently I have a bottle of honey that I take a spoon of whenever I start sneezing or feel flu-ish and in no time I am good again. I also use it to rest well a nights. |
