Subject: Melatonin

I have been taking Melatonin at night to help me get a more restful sleep. It seems to work wonders and I rarely wake up in the middle of the night anymore. Does anyone else do this and what have been your results?

I take Melatonin. Actually, the supplement I take is a mixture of melatonin, 5HTP, chamomile, and some other herbs. It's great. I started having some issues with my neck due to a car accident from several years ago. I was unable to sleep straight through the night, but taking these supplements have helped tremendously.

There are other ways of naturally boosting your melatonin levels, and I practise those instead. I spend time in a room with no blue light. Yellow light simulates melatonin production, as it is naturally produced at sun set to help lull us to sleep. Artificial lights messed up the natural process, but having a yellow light in your bedroom, no white lights, can help.

I try to stay away fom taking anything myself. I don't care how natural they are its just not normally useful to mask the problem with pills instead of finding the issue.
