Subject: Kidney Stones

Here is a link that I thought was completely idiotic at first. http://www.jumpandbump.com/ Bump and Jump for helping to pass a kidney stone. I actually asked my urologist about this technique and he did find it amusing but advised that it wasn't likely to hurt me. Desperate pain calls for desperate solutions so I tried it. And... it didn't help me pass the stone but there was a benefit. It did seem to stop the attacks of pain when I felt them coming on. Maybe it is worth something so I thought I would pass it on.

Right! The exercise if nothing else can help to release endorphins that will help you deal with the pain when it hits. That is why women deal with childbirth better when they can move around.

Well, one thing I can agree with is their is no reason to subject the neighbors to having to view these exercises taking place. I do see how they can work, though and the fewer medications we put in our systems the better.

Well, that does seem a bit odd to do. I guess they are thinking that gravity and jostling will move the stone faster. It would be better to avoid getting stones in the future which can often be done with diet changes.

Anything could end up jiggling the right way and maybe this helped for someone along the lines and they figured to put it out there. I would rather have many choices for things I could do to help in that situation rather than just a couple and none work.

I was talking with someone a few years older than me about this today and he said that he was having some issues and could not tell if it was appendicitis or in fact stones. Are these even close to the same types of pains one would have?

Hey, if you read it through it does have a certain logic to it. No I did not do the bumping and jumping in public. My sanity is at times debated by those around me. I try not to encourage them. Hanna this person who thinks they have either appendicitis or stones should go to the doctor to be checked out. Appendicitis can be serious and kidney stone pain goes beyond what I adequately describe.
