How many people in here like herbal remedies over a pharmacy made drug. Do you know that most herbal remedies are actually used in some of the drugs you buy on the market. What is your favorite herb for healing of any kind and why?

I have many Herbal Remedies one of my favorites is Comfrey. Comfrey is great for healing of wounds and scares. Comfrey can be made into a salve for bruises, sprains or a poultice for open wounds and boils. Comfrey has many more characteristics than what I have mentioned here.

My brother is a bone cancer survivor and he takes shark bone pills from the organic market. He just started though, so I'm not sure if they're helping or not.

I take Omega 3 fish oil pills. I take it to relieve joint pain in my knees, it works great. There are many other benefits as well, such as relief from joint pain, migraines, depression, and autoimmune diseases.

Yes, I do. I grew up in a family that didn't go to the doctor unless it was a major emergency (and even then, not necessarily), so everything we did was treated or prevented through natural stuff, including herbs, vitamins, minerals, and combinations of various things on recommendation. Now, I don't use them as much, but I'd like to get back into treating myself and will be following this thread for ideas.

I had horrible asthma problem since I was a kid and the moment my dad made me use fish oil medicine on a long term basis that is almost 5-6 yrs made me get rid of this problem completely. I even like Aloe vera gel which cured my worse pimple skin condition.

I have used natural remedies most of my life. My mom gave up on traditional medicine as a first resort after they kept shoving anti-biotics down me for the first year when I had 13 ear infections instead of finding a way to stop them. The naturopath we visited had no problems helping me. My herbalist just retired a couple years ago and I've been at a bit of a loss since then. Her replacement isn't the same, lol.

Wow, you have your own herbalist. I bet you know of a lot of tricks with herbs. Does your herbalist make you special herbal blends?

I do believe that herbal remedies are superior to a lot of the synthetic drugs that are normally prescribed. More and more they are becoming accepted as more than just folklore. I use garlic in a variety of ways to treat various ailments and just to stay well.
