Do you think herbal remedies work, or do you think it is an issue of the placebo effect? |

I think it can be a bot of both. I do think that some herbal remedies are quite effective in reducing symptoms, but I also feel many times they do cause a placebo effect on users. |

It really does depend on what you are using the remedy for. I think there are a lot of herbal remedies that work effectively on some things (mostly the minor things IMO) |

I think they do work if you find the real forumulaes. Some of teh homeopthics are not using proper ingredients so they are not as effective medicinaly as they shoudl be. Take St. JohnsWort only certian parts are supposed ot be used ot be effective. However they are using added ingeredients that are not supposed to be used and parts of the plant that are not supposed to be used, which negate the true effect. Making it more of placebo than a effector. With herbal supplements you also ahve to be careful since so many negate teh effect of RX drugs and wil acuse serious side effects as well. So I think many aer harmful in teh long run simply becaus etheer is not enough information pushed to their effects and many are combinations are harmful. |

Even though herbal remedies work, it will take a long time to do its wonders. You won't get the fast acting results that we normally get from using the typical chemical medicines. |

I would have to say it depends on the ailment or condition. Ever since I started using a more natural approach, I feel 110% healthier than I did 10 years ago. I also think just relying on remedies isn't enough. I believe it's all about a healthy lifestyle. This will help build and protect your immune system. |

I think it depends on the type of remedies and the severity of the issue. I really do not see myself using say a heating pad for say a broken leg, or end up using a tea pack (seeped them laid on the tooth) for an infected tooth that is making your face swell up (at that point you should see a doctor), but for some there are things that work. |
