Subject: Healthy Outlets

I have noticed that people tend to have more work than fun these days and everyone needs a healthy outlet. I like to game sometimes, and other days I might just need a breathe of fresh air (get out of the office and take a walk). What are some good tips for others?

I enjoy walking. In the evening I might read a good book for a couple hours before going to bed. On a nice summer day, I like to take my book with me and find a nice place in the park to just sit and read.

When I'm at work and I really, really need a break, I run down to the coffee shop for a coffee. It just helps to get out of the office for just a minute and stretch my legs. I work in a religious order hospital and sometimes I'll take 10 minutes and duck into the chapel and just sit. I don't necessarily do anything, just sit. It really helps me out sometimes.

I don't work any longer so I go to the woods behind my house with a book and sit and read or just sit and listen. It's very relaxing and I've managed to build a little bench with rocks and an old log that I sit on. I love it there. It's my special place.

I like going up to the mountains and breathing clean fresh air. It's great in the warm or cold weather, and at night, you can look up and see thousands of stars. Very therapeutic!
