My partner and I don't really like taking medicines of any sort, even regular ibuprofen and such. What is the best route to take for those hangover feelings, though? Any great recommendations to ease the queasy stomach and aching head? |

This is what I do instead of taking ibuprofen for a hangover. I drink a lot of water. A friend of mine drinks Alka Seltzer. |

Although I've never had a hangover myself I would imagine simple foods such as those on the b.r.a.t. diet would help (those being bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast). Some ginger ale may help or crackers for the nausea. And some type of pain reliever for the pain/headache. |

Hangover avoidance is the best way. Don't drink so much alcohol that the potential for a hangover is there. Like zebra says though the best cure for hangover type symptoms is to get plenty of fluids especially water. Alcohol does cause you to lose water. |

Fruit juices are good because it will replace the alcohol in the body. If there are no available fruit juices, plain water is good because you will urinate more with lots of water in the body therefore eliminating also the alcohol. And as what the others have said already, it is best to moderate your alcohol intake to avoid hangovers. |

I heard if you drink water in between your drinks it reduces the severity of your hangover because it keeps you properly hydrated. |

I heard that taking your vitamins or drinking vitamin water will help reduce your hangover symptoms faster. Alcohol reacts chemically in your body to deplete your stores of vitamins A, B (especially B6) and C, which can intensify your hangover symptoms. Look to B vitamins (especially B6) to help your body metabolize and get rid of alcohol that is hanging around and causing problems. |

Definitely drink plenty of water. Even though you were drinking all night, your body gets really dehydrated from the alcohol and that's where some of the side effects come from. Next time, make sure you drink a glass (or two) of water before you fall asleep after your binging...it'll help prevent the hangover from happening. |
