Subject: forgetfulness

Does anyone have any good suggestions for handling memory difficulties? Particularly short term memory--"Why did I come in this room again?" "What was I just talking about?" kind of stuff.

I'm trying a product with Gingko Biloba and Vinpocetine and Huperzine Alkaloids which I just started today. I'll let you know what happens.

You've heard the joke about the hereafter haven't you? I believe in the hereafter, I always walk into a room and ask myself "Now what am I here after?" LOL

You're not alone in the memory department. One thing that can cause memory loss is stress. We all have so much on our plates these days that it's not hard to lose track of things. I hope your products help. Let me know about your results. I may have to try them if they work.

Stress really can screw up your head. I'm still young and when I'm really under the gun I forget all kinds of important things. I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached.

I have heard that Gingko Biloba is very good for sharpening the memory. I have never tried it myself but would be interested in knowing if you have any success.

Same here. I actually remember when I was in college and getting ready to get married, thinking over my life. I could remember every detail of my life since I was 3. Now, some 30 something years later; I can't remember what my kids did when they were 3.

I do that sometimes too and then I find that I remember everything. I'm terrible at remembering appointments and times. Sometime I even forget to write them down on the calendar!

I remember as a child I could remember everything, birthdays and phone numbers more than anything else.

Now these are the types of things I need to write down, and store in three different places just to know who is who and what is what.

I wish I had photographic memory. I've never been good at memory exercises either. I couldn't even do it when I was a child. I'm even number dyslexic, I tend to transpose numbers a lot and that's why I'm terrible in math.

Memory is a tricky beast. I can remember certain kinds of things--like people's names and relationships and what they're up to--but not others. I have a horrible time remembering what I went into a room for sometimes or what I ate for breakfast.
