Subject: Bee Sting Therapy?

Has anyone heard of (or tried - ouch!!) bee sting therapy? I have read about it, one of the things it is said to help with is back pain. They catch bees, put them on your back and make them sting you!

I saw a TV news show about people who use bee stings to help them fight the pain of arthritis.

They all seemed to think that getting stung multiple times made them feel better.

I am not so sure about it. I don't think it would work and doubt that I could ever even try it.

I am sorry, but I do not like bee stings and would rather have the back pain myself than a bee sting.

Yeah, getting stung by bees scares me... Especially since some people can be allergic to bee venom and not know it. But this is not the first time I hear that multiple bee stings can have some medicinal effect.

I think it is a bad idea because it creates a sensitivity to the bee's venom in many people.

If I have pain, I want aggressive medication. I would be pretty upset is a doctor tried to suggest this as an option, for any reason.

What do you think?
