Is there anyone on the board that treats their illnesses without the use of antibiotics? I am interested to know what natural remedies are out there for common bacterial infections. |

I've always taken antibiotics for certain problems. UTI's are tough to fight without them even though I'm sure you could but it would take longer and it would be uncomfortable for a while. It is better not to take antibiotics since you could become immune to them but sometimes you just need it. |

I avoid taking antibiotics, but I would use them when I needed them. I haven't in 12 years! But some bacterial infections need them, which is why it's good that we have them. Like a UTI can cause significant kidney damage if left untreated. |

I use a number of natural antibiotics when needed. Some are tea recipes passed down from the old country that work as good as streptomyacin. Well in efefct it is crude strepto. I am resistant to Penicillin. i have live stuff stil in my makeup. You really dont become immune to it, you become resitant to it. And often if its aocntinual same bacterial infection that bacteria becomes resistant. IN any acse there are kickstartes for thsoe who are resistant to certain antibiotics. But whats even more danegrous is when an antibiotic becomes suddently toxic and you become allergic to it. j |
