Now I am sure we have all heard about sun damage on our faces and bodies and how it causes wrinkles, skin damage and cancer. How many of us are taking extra care when out in the sun for the day? Do you have any damage or wrinkles that has been caused by the sun?

My father was a fair skinned blue eyed blonde. He always had to wear dark sunglasses or else he would get sun poisoning. He also spent as much time as he could in the outdoors by the beach -- with his shirt off. He always had a tan even on his fair skin.
Sad to say he developed skin cancer on a growth on his back in-between his shoulder blades. The doctors said it was all because of the sun exposure. At the time he got the diagnosis the media was filled with stories about the men who fought in the South Pacific during the War. Many of them got skin cancer from the damage they incurred thirty years before.
So please try and keep your exposure down. If you hate sunblocks do wear a good broad brimmed hat, and breezy but long sleeved cover-ups. Don't overdo the sun, but try to remember to be as fit as you can, don't get burned.
I, on the other hand am a really pale skinned person. I never tan, I parboil, so no sun is the right amount of sun for me.

I try to take care of my skin if I know I will be out in the sun for a long period of time.
Also, my daily facial moisturizer has SPF15 in it.

For a couple summers I would lay out in the sun for 1 hour a day, than I switched to a tanning bed another summer (which is just as bad).
Now I use Jergens tanning lotion which is the one of the only ones I've seen that don't make your skin look orange.

You should let Letterman know about the Jergens tanning lotion. I don't know if anyone here watches the late show, but Dave is looking especially orange these days.

I try to remember sun screen all the time when I am out. Mostly since high school when I fell asleep on the beach for four hours.

I do my best to protect myself but I'm lazy and most times in too much of a hurry to do it properly all the time. I always have my sunglasses and a cap near at hand but I hate these oily lotions and creams.

There are laser treatments now that will take away viens and some wrinkles that sun damaged has caused and it really works.
I have it done once every few years and it does wonders for your sikn! Your skin does swell a few days afterwards so I wouldn't reccommend doing your entire face at once.

I have very fair skin that won't tan. As a senior citizen I do have a few damage spots on my arms....white spots. I love to garden so now I wear a large brim hat and long sleeves even when it's really warm outside.

I just had a new client recently, and he was bald. Well he ended up with skin cancer from the sun on the top of his head. Today, he wears a hat!
