Straightening damage?

I straighten my hair almost every day, but I hear it can be very bad and damage your hair? Is this true? If so, why??

Yes, this is true, blow drying can damage your hair. I can not explain why or the molecular change that happens, but this is a factual statement. Almost everything you do damages your hair, Dying, curling iron, bleaching, perming, sun, brushing, and the environment itself.

If you don't use such things on your hair you can tell immediately after doing it once. I used to straighten my hair occasionally. I had a steam/hot plate combo iron and even that used sparingly could ruin the texture of my hair if not treated properly. Using the hot plates these days has got to be even worse. I baby my hair and think it is worth it.
