Moles

I've never had moles in the past but I've developed four in the past year. Nothing too alarming as to unusual shapes or colors, but I'm just wondering where they come from all of a sudden? Or why they develop?

I have always had moles, but have noticed that I am getting more as I get older. I am not sure where they come from, but having moved to a sunny country, I do have much more sun light exposure on my skin.

If you suddenly get moles that were not there before then they need to be checked out-oddly shaped or not. Most safe moles are there from birth, so I'd go see a doc if I were you.

I have always had skin growths and I am not sure what moles are specifically. When I see a new skin growth or one that seems to be changing I immediately look it up in a medical book to see how much I should worry or if I should show it to my doctor.

Are you sure it is a mole rather than something more sinister? Maybe you should ask your doctor this question too? And be sure to tell us his answer!

Develop moles? I though we get it only when we were born. Are you really sure they are moles? Better check it out!

I agree, this is something you definitely want to get checked out. Aside from oddly shaped or colored you want to tell your Dr about any change in size and if they "appeared" I would call that a change in size from nothing to something. Definitely get them checked out.

I too agree with the majority anything that occurs such as moles and growths that were not there at birth no matter how innocent looking should be checked out just to be safe.

I got 3 moles on my face and almost 20 moles around the different parts of my body. But nothing to worry because it's an ordinary moles not the cancerous one. My friend have moles contain hairs on her right cheek which I can say unattractive to look at. She applied creams to remove it but still there. Any idea what to do?

I have plenty of moles. I hate them. When I moved to a sunny climate I got a lot of freckles. So far I haven`t asked my doctorabout them but they have been there for years.
