Live until old age
|

I know most of us want to live until old age but do you think it is a good idea if we cannot walk in our golden year? Yep, we are still alive but have to depend on wheel chair to transport us around. In such a condition,do you still want to live?

People who think that they will live forever always imagine that they will also be in the best of health.
No one dreams of just old age, but of a long life that is filled with love, with good friends and a mature age that is totally healthy, happy and financially secure.
Keep dreaming everyone. We all need something at the end of the rainbow to dream about.

I have thought of this on many occasions myself. Sure we are living longer, but only to become prisoners in a failing body. Not only that but sometimes the brain fails too and there is simply no quality of life. What's the point?

I have always said I want to live as long as I can take care of myself. I don't want to be a burden on anyone-
I'm 35 and I think with all the technology we have and medical experitise- I will be able to live a long long time on my own.

I wouldnt have a problem rolling around in a wheelchair. I am just concerned about perhaps loosing my marbles, so to speak!! I want to be able to enjoy my older years with my family.

It is only just now I have a conversation regarding long life with my mum. She said what is the point to live so long without able to move around freely? She even went further to say that she would rather be dead so as not to trouble us of taking care of her and have to depend on people or equipment to move around.
I think I know why she said that as I saw how my grandmother lived before died. She has been lying in bed for a few months before finally crossed over.
