Heat And Aging

I was wondering if I was the only one experiencing this. The weather seems to be much hotter to me during the past few years and I'm not sure it's because of global warming or my age.

I know as women get older they sweat more but I'm not talking about that. What I mean is that it just seems hotter outside and the heat of summer seems to come in June now as opposed to late July.

Does the weather effect older people more, especially when in the summer?

It is definitely possible but it also depends on your age - if you're approaching or in menopause, you could feel the heat more as you experience "hot flashes". The weather is odder than it used to be, too. Could be a combination of things for you.

I think it has gotten hotter. I have started noticing it more at times I use to barely notice it at all. I chalk it up to the change in the weather patterns we've had over the past few years.

I know the heat really did effect my mother as she aged. It was real tough on her until her death.

Global warming has a little to do with this, but I have noticed that 80 degrees feels a lot hotter to me at 54, than it did at 24.

I've noticed more humidity lately which makes the heat positively oppressive at times compared to the past. Not sure what gives, but I've never run the AC so much. We only bought one for days with smog warnings.

I also seem to be affected more by the heat now. I am 48. I used to be able to stay outside for hours. Now I can`t stand the heat at all.

Hey everyone.Feeling hotter has nothing to do with your age. It is the weather that is getting hotter and hotter. Yep, global warming is one of the factor that contributes to the gradually rising temperature over the years.
