Feeling older

Don't you hate the way your body shows its age, with creaks and groans here and there? Have you ever thought how nice it would be to spend just a few hours in an 18 year old body again? I know I do. If you are still in an 18 year old body...enjoy it!!

I think medicine and technology has advanced so much even in the past 10 years. People have the tools to make their youth last longer. It's unfortunte to have to get old.

Well, today is my birthday, I'm 56! I was thinking back to my 20's this morning remembering walking with my friend all the way from West 87th street to 59th street without breaking a sweat. We'd walk, and laugh, and talk the full mile and a half. And sometimes we would stop by The Museum Of Natural History and visit the dinosaurs.

Now, at 56, I'm always looking out for the nearest bench in case I need to rest. There are times I dread walking to the post office and that's only half a mile away.

Things changed slowly but change they did.

Now, I actually need a nap in the afternoons sometimes. Oh, boy.

I know I am starting to feel it especially in my knees as I play a lot of sports. Aging just is no fun at all.

I wouldn't mind being 21 again if I could have all the knowledge that I have now.

There are so many people that would have never been able to manipulate me the way they can manipulate most young adults!

I`m 48 and I wish I could have the body of when I was 18. Ive had lots of surgeries so my body now creaks and groans a lot. Ah the good old days. They are memories now.

I loved my body when I was 18 and before children made my middle stretch.

I hate it now how my knees crack and my feet always seem to ache.
