Do your Adult kids make you feel old or your Body?

When my oldest son turned 20 last year I just couldn`t handle it. I am the mother of an adult! wow. I told my hubby that I wanted a dozen roses on my sons birthday. I didn`t get them either lol. But I`ll tell you what I felt old because of my body changes and stuff but when he turned 20 I really felt it .

I feel old when I see my nieces and nephews taking care of their children. Realizing my brother who is only three years older than me is a Grandfather several times over.

My boy is almost 18 and already growls like me but I am told that I look much younger than my age. Do I feel old? Well my son keeps reminding me and I think I do a good job of ignoring him. What does he know anyway? ;)

I've never let getting older bother me. Yes we're older and not as pretty or resilient as we once were, but we don't have to go through all the rigors of growing up either. The runny noses, skinned knees, missing teeth and heartache.

Not at all I do think sometimes that the ime has flown by but I dont look at hem and then at me and think oh god.

As I see the people who I knew as little babies and are now adults, it feels strange but it doesn't make me feel older. I feel that I know who I am and no one else can make me feel my years.
I guess that can be because I get along so well with my friend's kids. I've been told that I act like they are people and are my equals when I speak to them and not just the kids I knew as they grew up. And it is true. I consider them my friends too.
So maybe it is that you are too buy thinking of them as youngsters and that is really what makes you feel older.

I just do not worry about it. WE all age and I just live life and have fun in whatever I do. That is the key if you ask me.

Sometimes you are only as old as you feel. And then there are some days that really hit us pretty hard. I still think you should have gotten roses, if not this year, the next when hes 21!

My kids make me feel old because they exhaust me, does that count? I am not old, not yet even 30, but I have been through a lot in the last 5 years that I feel has really aged me.

I hate getting old myself. I absolutely despise it. I want my youth back now that i know what its all about.
