Do You Ever Think Back To Your Youth?

Sometimes I'll hear a song from 40 years ago and think about what was going on in my life then. Usually my thoughts bring me back to my teen years when middle age was so far away that I thought it would never happen to me.

Sometimes I like thinking about that song and what I was doing when the song was popular but there are other times I get a tad depressed.

How do you feel when you think about the times you were in your teens?

Sometimes I get a bit melancholy when I hark back to my youth days. I sometimes wonder how life would have been different if I had taken a different route at some juncture in my life. Fortunately this doesn't happen often.

I enjoy the reminiscing for a while, but I am quite happy with my life and the choices I have made: even the bad ones, they have made me the person I am. While I sometimes feel a nostalgia for days gone by it doesn't amount to anything more than noticing the fast passage of time.

When I think back to the GOOD OLD DAYS, I smile, laugh and sometimes cry. When I compare the life I had in earlier years as a child and teen compared to the lives of our children and grandchildren of today, I am thankful I grew up when I did. I feel blessed to know that my family was functional, and although far from perfection, we were stable and stand strong as a family unit, even to this day. I would not trade my life and my age to start anew in this world we now have.

To be frank, I am glad I am older. I might not look as good as I once did, but I have lost a lot of the confusion of youth. I feel I am stronger now. I don't feel scared of many things. My youth was quite insecure. Now, I feel more secure, clear-headed, and happy. Actually, I am happy to be the age I am now and getting older doesn't terrify me in the least.

There are certain things in my youth that I miss and other things that I could do without. Like Goodhealth, I'm at a point in life where I'm happily married and have 4 wonderful boys. About the only thing I often wonder about in regards to my youth is what would have happened if I chose to go a different route at a certain point in my life.

Just about any song I can think of that was playing between age 5 and up I can remember certain times I was doing whatever then. Its a good feeling for me most times, but a couple do spark the bad. Its good to see how far I have come though, along with the music too.

It's remarkable how songs can take you back. I love listening to songs from my youth, and I still want to discover new ones that I like. In that case, I tend to have leaned more toward classical music.

I have experienced some melancholy from listening to old songs at one time or anther, I'd say.

There is always some song on the radio that brings back the memories. Usually of the summer hoildays and friends that I have lost touch wilth. I think I had a good childhood and am happy with the memories I have...except the time I had my heart broken for the very first time of course.

I would like to but couldn't afford the time. My time is much too precious to look back at my life whether it is sweet or sorrow. What is important now is to go forward and build up my life again.

Yes at times I look back at my life and see how it has progress and think about how things could be different. In the end you cannot change things so I am happy.
