Alcoholism

My mom is an alcoholic and she looks 15 years older than what she is. My mom has a sister five years younger than her yet her sister looks 5-10years younger than my mom. Alcohol must age you fast, because my mom aged 10years in looks to 5 years of life.

Yes, it does take a toll on their body. It seems that more and more of our population is an alcoholic over here in the U.S. I wonder if this will ever stop?

I recently heard a report that alcoholism is also associated with an increase in breast cancer? I am not sure if I believe this, I would like to see some more study findings on this. Anyone heard of this or have knowledge of it?

Alcoholism is just plain bad. I think it is even worse than habitual smoking. My dad used to drink a lot until his doctor told him he'd better stop - or else.

Alcoholism is more than just something good or bad that comes out of the blue.

Most alcoholics have some deep pain to deal with and a genetic predisposition. That double whammy makes is enormously difficult not to drink.

Very few alcoholics drink because it is fun -- they drink because not to hurts too much.

And, yeah, the damage done is serious. It is much more than looking older. People die from this.

My sister is an acholic and yes she does drink to take the pain away. If she is having a bad day or something has happened to her that has pissed her off she will drink.
