		<description><![CDATA[The FDA, whose original birth was to protect U.S. citizens, now relies on at least half of it&#039;s income from the pharma industry, which requires protection especially at this time, because the FDA views the pharma industry as clients, without safety or concern for the health of the public in any noticeable way.  Futhermore, the F.D.A. is intentionally short staffed and therefore lacks the ability to monitor and regulate the pharmaceutical industry.  So the autonomy of this industry is therefore fueled by desire for individual profits.  Because so many health care providers and citizens are unaware of this, damage can occur.]]></description>
