Transparency with industries such as big pharma, also known as the sunshine act, is conceptually a great idea. However, the simple reluctance of the industry to comply voluntarily is of concern. Furthermore, the act, if materializes and becomes manditory, will just cause pharma industries to become creative with thier accounting. You would not believe how thier distribution of funds are for no actual reward for service, as far as paying doctors go. Most are clear kickbacks for prescribers who do litttle of any participation for a pharma organization.
