		<description><![CDATA[I was on Yahoo! Answers a few days ago and read about this issue with metformin. I thought that was quite an odd characterisitic for a medication to have. I believe that you can treat diabetes (type 2) holistically with just your diet and herbal supplementation, and the avandia affair is proof that medicines are generally not the way to go.
