Positive Aspects of Zoloft: Effective
Negative Aspects of Zoloft: Adjusting to Dosage
Reason for taking Zoloft: Panic Disorder
Additional Comments: I had been suffering from panic attacks for some time when I decided that I would go to the Doctor and get some medication for panic disorder. I was prescribed Zoloft and was thankful that it would be helpful in management. It was, but it took my body three weeks to adjust to the medication. During those weeks I was constantly drowsy, and an emotional mess. After the dosage was lowered I was fine, but suffered from Nausea if I took the drug on an empty stomach.

Negative Aspects of Zoloft: Did not help me
Reason for taking Zoloft: Depression
Additional Comments: I know this works for a lot of people however to me when a side effect of a drug is an extreme increase in the behavior it is meant to treat just seems like it needs a lot of work

Reason for taking Zoloft: depression/panic attacks
Additional Comments: I started taking this for three months from my doctor for depression/panic attacks/whatever else you want to call them. This drug had no effects bad or good for me and we are still not sure why. Does this happen to many people?

Reason for taking Zoloft: Anxiety with insomnia
Additional Comments: Been going through some hard times and suddenly developed insomnia. This at 20 mg. along with three .5 mg ativan (one at 5pm, 2 at 9pm) has done wonders for me! I am now down to one .5 ativan before bed. I take the zoloft in the morning.

Positive Aspects of Zoloft: anti-anxiety drug
Negative Aspects of Zoloft: Must be careful with dosage
Reason for taking Zoloft: Panic Attacks
Additional Comments: I began having anxiety attacks after a 3 month stay in the hospital. I had been on a lot of medication for most of that time. When I went home, I felt like the world was closing in on me and I could breathe at times. My doctor put me on Zoloft and explained what was happening to me. It worked wonders.
