Positive Aspects of Pravachol:  It did pretty well taking down my cholesterol level

Negative Aspects of Pravachol:  There are all sorts of side effects and it can cause some liver damage

Reason for taking Pravachol:  High blood cholesterol

Additional Comments:  There are a lot of side effects but the one that concerned me most of all was the possiblity of liver damage and muscle damage. My liver enzymes elevated and my muscle enzyme levels elevated which meant I was having some muscle damage also. I didn't know it could cause all of these problems when I started on it. When I stopped the drug, all of the enzyme levels returned to normal.
