Positive Aspects of Orajel:  Numbs the gums

Negative Aspects of Orajel:  Ineffective for tooth pain, bad taste

Reason for taking Orajel:  Tooth and gum pain

Additional Comments:  I had a tooth that needed repair and the doctor suggested I use some orajel until I could get into her office on Monday. Other than leaving a bad taste in my mouth I did not feel any positive effects from the medication.
