Positive Aspects of Glyburide:  Controlled blood sugar effectively

Negative Aspects of Glyburide:  Dropped blood sugar too low

Reason for taking Glyburide:  Diabetes

Additional Comments:  My grandmother was on this medication to control her diabetes. It was working well for a few months and then she passed out in a grocery store. After being rushed to the hospital by ambulance, it was discovered that glyburide had dropped her blood sugar too low. This is common for older people to have it work "too well" and their dosage should be lowered but her doctor was unaware of that fact.
